Orthodontics
What are Orthodontics?
Orthodontics involves the treatment of crowded and crooked teeth as well as malocclusion problems. Orthodontics can involve treatment such as braces, retainers, palate spreaders and more. Each patient’s treatment plan is customized to their own individual needs. Our goal is to provide orthodontic care that monitors the development of the teeth as well as the way they are shifting.
Why would you need Orthodontics?
You or a child may need orthodontics if they have crooked, misaligned and crowded teeth. Malocclusion problems can be corrected with orthodontics such as open bites, under bites and over bites. Before orthodontic treatment is started, you’ll come in for a consultation with Dr. Jess Chhokar. Together, we can create a custom treatment plan that corrects any and all orthodontic issues.
What makes you a good candidate for Orthodontics?
Most people who need orthodontic treatment are good candidates to begin the process. Each person is different in the type of orthodontic treatment they may need. This is why it is important to have a consultation, exam and series of x-rays prior to the work being started. Orthodontic work can benefit children, teens and even adults, so it’s never too late to work on correcting your smile.
What can you expect with Orthodontic treatment?
We provide a range of orthodontic treatment options here at Langdon Dental. The first step is coming in for a consultation appointment. We will examine you or your child’s teeth and take x-rays and impressions. We will go over a unique, customized treatment plan to create a beautiful, lasting smile. We will then go over financial options available as well as costs associated with the treatment. It is important that you come in for your regularly scheduled appointments so that treatment goes smoothly and quickly. Depending on the type of work that is needed, you can have a straight smile in just 12 short months.
